Irene, a single mother of two disabled children, has her own cleaning business, but in the winter, she lost many of her clients.

She couldn't take on evening cleaning jobs because she did not have anyone to care for her children.

When she called The Deep Well Project, she owed two months' rent. After talking with the landlord, who thought highly of her and was willing to work with her, Deep Well paid one month of Irene's rent.

Deep Well provides a broad range of social services for poor working families, the disabled, the sick and the elderly.
