A St. Helena Island man is wanted in connection with the reported rape and kidnapping of a 23-year-old Beaufort woman.
Anthwon Lamont Washington, 28, is being sought by the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office in the domestic-violence case, according to an incident report.
A deputy was called just before 1 a.m. Thursday to Beaufort Memorial Hospital in reference to the incident that allegedly occurred between midnight and 1:45 a.m. Sunday on Progress Lane on St. Helena
