A 2013 Mercedes-Benz S550 worth $110,500 disappeared from the lot of a Bluffton dealership over the weekend, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
Employees at the Mercedes-Benz of Hilton Head on Fording Island Road discovered the vehicle had been stolen Monday. It had been parked in the front corner lot of the business and was last seen at closing time Saturday, said Sgt. Robin McIntosh.
The silver four-door sedan has a gray leather interior. Among the features available for the model are navigation, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a tilt-away or telescoping steering wheel and memory for head restraints, driver's seat and steering wheel, according to the dealership's website.
The dealership had the only two known keys for the vehicle. Employees reported that a group of three men had recently been shown the vehicle and may have returned a "dummy" key.
