Outside Hilton Head and Volunteers in Medicine Hilton Head Island plan an evening of shopping and charity from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Shelter Cove Plaza.

The event includes music by John & Taylor, refreshments from Growlers and Wine & Spirits, and a book signing by Janet Garrity, author of "Goin' Down the River." Gift wrapping and shipping help will be available.

Twenty percent of the proceeds will benefit VIM, a news release said.
