Home Helpers of the Lowcountry is sponsoring a toy and book drive to help two local nonprofit groups' holiday giving.

To benefit The Deep Well Project and Bluffton Self Help, the in-home care agency is collecting unwrapped toys and books for children younger than 16.

Drop off or mail items by Dec. 15 to Home Helpers, 2 Big Oak St., Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. The office is in Buckingham Landing, near the bridges to Hilton Head.
