County to offer disaster training for residents

Beaufort County emergency management officials will train residents to assist their families and neighbors during a disaster.

Community Emergency Response Team classes will be offered January to February at the Clemson Extension classroom at 36 Burton Hill Road in Beaufort.

The courses are taught in five sessions from 6 to 9 p.m. -- on Jan. 22, 24, 29 and 31 and Feb. 2.
