The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office Special Enforcement Unit will conduct a traffic-safety checkpoint from 9 to 11 p.m. today on Hilton Head Island.
Drivers passing through the checkpoint in the westbound lane of Marshland Road at Capital Drive will be asked to show their driver's license, registration and proof of vehicle insurance, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
