Joe and his wife, Frances, are on Social Security, but they needed more money to make ends meet.

Joe, who is 67, went to work at a local restaurant, but when he needed neck surgery last winter, he couldn't work for six weeks. The couple didn't have enough money to pay the rent.

The Deep Well Project stepped in to help make the rent payment.
