The New River Auto Mall in Hardeeville and La Isla Magazine team up to collect items for Superstorm Sandy victims in New York.
Chris Davey, front, Ben Haapala and other volunteers load donated items for Staten Island, N.Y., victims of Superstorm Sandy onto a truck Monday at the New River Automall warehouse in Hardeeville. The mall and La Isla Magazine, working through the Tunnel to Towers organization, have been conducting a drive this month to collect the items. The truck will leave at 6 a.m. today, and the items are to be delivered Wednesday to a collection center on Staten Island.
