John Kilmer Fine Interiors has donated $5,000 to the Lowcountry Foundation for Wounded Military Heroes.

In a ceremony at the company's design center on Hilton Head Island, owner John Kilmer and chief financial officer David Freese presented a check to the foundation to serve local wounded veterans, according to a news release.

"We owe all veterans a greater debt than we can ever repay," Kilmer said. "But it's important we invest first in helping our own."
