Annual Tidewater Hospice thankful for remembrance service support

info@islandpacket.comNovember 25, 2012

Nov. 3 was our annual Tidewater Hospice Service of Remembrance, held at the historic Church of the Cross in Old Town Bluffton. The service honors the memory of our patients who have died in the past year.

This year, we were honored to have the Shore Notes for our musical feature. As the service concluded, one family member described the Shore Notes' voices as "instruments of healing." We could not have said it better and felt privileged that the Shore Notes volunteered their beautiful voices to our special day.

We also wish to thank the Church of the Cross for opening its doors to us, as well as organist Michael Cole for sharing his musical talents.

Finally, we are especially grateful to the families of our patients who attended our service, along with our wonderful staff and generous volunteers.

We strive to bring a modicum of comfort, dignity and resolution to our patients and their loving families.
