Main Street to seek public input in marketing

Main Street Beaufort, USA will hold a public forum at 5 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Dolphin Room of the Best Western Sea Island Inn to discuss marketing of downtown Beaufort.
Arnett Muldrow & Associates of Greenville will lead six roundtable discussions Dec. 12-14 and use the information gathered to develop a "brand," which will include a logo and tagline designs for the downtown area, events and Main Street Beaufort. Also included are banners, direction signs, web pages and advertising templates for downtown and the businesses there.

Although many of the marketing materials will be used to attract tourists, Main Street Beaufort's board also wants a message that appeals to residents, the organization said in a news release.

For more information or to reserve a spot at the Dec. 12 meeting, call Main Street Beaufort at 843-525-6644.
