Beaufort gateway needs improvement

info@islandpacket.comNovember 21, 2012

I may be wrong, but I get the feeling that the Boundary Street project is a done deal and that these ongoing information sessions have become just "preaching to the choir," with the exception of the same few protesters.

I, for one, welcome the prospect of beautifying the gateway to Beaufort, the spirit of which many Boundary Street business owners could embrace if they wanted to attract more traffic to their own businesses and to Beaufort in general.

Although one protester, the Sea Eagle Seafood store, is a Beaufort "institution," I don't think it would work to its detriment to clean up its Boundary Street appearance. It's an unattractive mess.
