Hospital receives AHA award

Coastal Carolina Hospital has earned a Gold Quality Achievement Award for exceptional treatment of patients with heart failure, according to a hospital news release.

The award is given to hospitals that follow American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology guidelines and meet measures to improve patient care, survival rates and recovery, as well as prevent future hospitalizations.

This marks the second year Coastal Carolina Hospital has received the award.
