The Lowcountry American Dream Council will provide a free showing of the documentary "Heist: Who Stole the American Dream?" this week.

The film, which "reveals how American corporations orchestrated the dismantling of the middle-class through rampant deregulation, the outsourcing of jobs and tax policies favoring business and the wealthy," will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Technical College of the Lowcountry's New River Campus in Okatie, according to a council news release.
