Tickets for the 23rd annual Taste of the Season, presented by the Hilton Head Island-Bluffton Chamber of Commerce, are on sale.

The event Friday will feature more than 30 of the area's top chefs and restaurants vying for the title of "Best Cuisine," according to a chamber news release. The event attracted more than 1,000 attendees last year.

This year's festivities -- including a silent auction featuring getaways, golf and fine dining -- are from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort and Spa. Tickets are $45 and available at www.hiltonheadchamber.org, at chamber headquarters and at the chamber's Bluffton office.
