The League of Women Voters of Hilton Head Island/Bluffton is hosting a discussion Wednesday on the state of education in South Carolina.

The event begins at 10 a.m. and includes information on how teachers are assessed, with a focus on Beaufort County schools.

The event is free and open to the public and is at the Hilton Head Public Service District meeting room, 21 Oak Park Drive.
