Published: November 7, 2012

The owner of a late-model Bobcat skid-steer loader and tools worth about $42,000 that were stolen from a utility trailer in Beaufort said he is offering a $5,000 reward for "information that leads to the recovery of the property."

The equipment, which was being used to gut the former O.C. Welch car dealership at 103 Robert Smalls Parkway, was stolen from the vacant parking lot the night of Oct. 21, according to the Beaufort Police Department.

Anyone with information on the missing equipment can call the owner, Tom Bueche, at 803-300-1131 or Beaufort police at 843-524-2777.
