A 39-year-old man found with several gunshot wounds at Baytree Apartments in Ridgeland early Sunday morning remains in critical condition as police investigate the shooting.

Ridgeland police responded to reports of shots fired at the apartment complex at 1:30 a.m. They discovered Edward Laron Wright lying wounded on his back outside of the apartments, according to a news release.

Wright was uncooperative with investigators, according to the release. He was flown to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah for treatment.

Police are searching for three suspects in a green SUV for questioning in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Lt. Daniel Litchfield or Chris McIntosh at 843-726-7530.
