Conservation plan key to protecting waterways

info@islandpacket.comNovember 3, 2012

After years of being on every committee associated with how we deal with protecting and restoring our estuaries and way of life, I urge you to vote "yes" on the referendum to fund the Rural and Critical Lands Preservation Program.

The town of Bluffton and Beaufort County have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars coming up with a roadmap on how to do this, and one of the most important pieces of the puzzle is to buy land in critical areas to assist in the management of stormwater runoff.

If you truly want our quality of life and our estuaries to continue to be the engine of our economy, you will do your part by voting "yes."
