One man was killed and three others injured in a one-vehicle crash Thursday on Mitchellville Road in Jasper County, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Joseph Medlock, 29, was driving a 1999 Chevy pickup south about 10:15 p.m. when he drove off the right side of the road and overcorrected, causing the truck to run off the left side of the road, according to Cpl. Bob Beres. The vehicle hit a ditch, flipped and struck a tree before catching fire, Beres said.

Passenger Kendrick Webb, 29, of Ridgeland died. Medlock and another unidentified passenger were airlifted to Savannah's Memorial University Medical Center. A third unidentified passenger was taken by ambulance to Coastal Carolina Hospital.

The conditions of the three survivors could not be determined Friday.
