  • Lowcountry Property Management Association Scholarship Winner Caitlin Weatherwax, daughter of Dave Weatherwax of Hilton Head Island, was awarded the 2012 Vincent Paul Eck Memorial Scholarship by the Lowcountry Property Management Association. Caitlin is a graduate of Clemson University and is attending graduate school at Vanderbilt University. The $500 scholarship is awarded annually by the organization in memory of Vince Eck, former Lowcountry Property Management Association president and founding member.

  • Hampton Lake in Bluffton will continue its open house weekend from 1 to 4 p.m. today. The event is free and open to the public. The community's models and available homes will be open for tours and Backwater Bill's restaurant will be open to the public. The community is located at 20 Hampton Lake Drive, Bluffton. Details: 843-836-5253; The community also will hold its third annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. The event is free and open to the public.

  • The 2012 Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors and Mortgage Lenders Association's Golf and Tennis Tournament recently raised about $21,000 for local charities. Donations were presented to Hilton Head Regional Habitat for Humanity, Family Promise, The Children's Center, Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner, Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, Programs for Exceptional People, the Bluffton Boys & Girls, Children's Relief Fund, Deep Well, Second Helpings, Operation R&R, Pregnancy Center of the Lowcountry, The 200 Club of the Lowcountry, Bluffton Self Help, Bluffton-Jasper Volunteers in Medicine, Hilton Head Heroes, Sandlewood Food Bank, and Osprey Village. The money raised also will be used for the annual Realtors Helping Real People community service project.

  • The second annual Pinckney Retreat Art & Wine Festival will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today on the lawn of the Retreat House overlooking Battery Creek in Pinckney Retreat, 108 Sturdevant Drive, Beaufort. More than a dozen painters, photographers, jewelry designers and other artists will have items on display and food will be available for purchase. Wine tastings also will be offered and can be purchased for $5. Live music will be provided by Jeff Beasley. The event is free and open to the public. Details: 843-770-0170;
