A Lady's Island man was sitting in his home on Sams Point Road at about 6 p.m. Saturday when a bullet was fired through the back of his house, denting his refrigerator, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff's Office report.

A witness said two shots were fired about 15 seconds apart, but no one saw the shooter. The man was not hurt and said he didn't know of anyone who would want to hurt him, the report said.

Deputies could not find any evidence or suspects, and the home had about $100 in damage.

The report said the case was closed by investigating deputies.
