CODA thankful for Bargain Box grant

Published: October 22, 2012

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and as we celebrate survivors and mourn the lives of those lost to this epidemic, we are grateful to all those who support CODA's efforts to provide services to survivors and their children. One such CODA supporter is The Bargain Box on Hilton Head Island.

For more than 45 years, The Bargain Box has assisted those in need in our community, not only through its thrift shop, but also by making grants to local nonprofit groups that address a wide array of issues. Grants from The Bargain Box have enabled CODA to maintain 24-hour services at our emergency shelter, which ensures that someone reaching out for help will find a knowledgeable advocate available at all times. Having a staff member on site at all times is also a necessity for safe and efficient operation of the shelter.

The Bargain Box is such an asset to our community and to those of us who may need to reach out for help in critical moments of our lives. The board, staff and clients of CODA thank The Bargain Box and its dedicated volunteers for their support and assistance.
