The Island School Council for the Arts celebrated the 31st "An Evening of the Arts" on Sept. 21. As event co- chairpersons, Kerry Brink and I are grateful for the incredible artwork generously donated by the best professional artists of the Lowcountry and for the tremendous staff at the Sea Pines Country Club, coordinated by Ryann Klein, Jerry Vaughan and Robert Parody.

Many thanks to the local businesses and volunteers who contributed their energy, time, talent and money to support this fundraiser: Julie Yutsey, Monty Jett, Sonny Huntley, Gabrielle Van de Velde, Karen Cerrati, Hilton Head Candy, Paradise Beach Bikes, McNair Law Firm, Hilton Head ENT and Sinus Center, Hilton Head Monthly, Island Getaway, Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Berk, Advantage Systems, Coastal Pediatric Dentistry, Palmetto Electric Cooperative, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Stratton, Merrill Lynch, Mr. and Mrs. Buck Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Straut, Jim and Kerry Brink, Charter One Realty, Core Pilates, BNC Bank, Georgia Skin and Cancer Clinic, Leslie and J.R. Richardson, Charles Scarminach, Kevin Fellinger, Richard Spear, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Eisenman, Coastal Plains Insurance, Dr. and Mrs. Sharma, Juliann Bluitt Foster, Mrs. Edward Johnstone and Fresh Market.

Also, thanks to Judy Costello and Mira Scott for coordinating the Allan Harris residency and the entertainment funded by John Jacobs, Ramona Fantini, Nancy Martin and Stephan Reed. We could not have done this without our dedicated committee chairpersons: Gabriele Hoffmann, Diana Magnan, April Gallagher, Veronica Tigges, Joan Stuckart, Bev Chambers, Anne Feldman, Andrea Gannon and Marie Shiroma.
