Duke defeated defending champion Virginia 26-23 on Sunday in the Gold Bracket final of the third annual USTA Tennis On Campus Fall Invitational at the Palmetto Resort Tennis Center on Hilton Head Island.

With victories in the morning semifinals, both Duke and Virginia captured automatic qualifying bids into next April's USTA Tennis on Campus National Championships to be held in Surprise, Ariz.

Georgia defeated Elon, 23-19, in the Silver Bracket championship, while Central Florida B beat Vanderbilt by default in the Bronze Bracket final.

Ferris State and College of Charleston A tied for the Sportsmanship Award, voted on by the teams.
