Together for Beaufort County report meetings set

Published: October 21, 2012

Public meetings to assemble a report on Beaufort County's quality of life are planned throughout November.

The Together for Beaufort County 2012 Report seeks to provide a snapshot of problems facing the county's economy, education and health. Groups of citizens, government and business officials, and nonprofit and faith organizations were formed to help compile the report.

The University of South Carolina Beaufort collected and analyzed the data for a quality-of-life indicator database and wrote the 2012 report.

The presentations began with appearances Oct. 15 before the Community Services Committee. Public meetings are:

  • Oct. 30, 4 to 5:30 p.m., Whale Branch Early College High School cafeteria.

  • Nov. 8, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Technical College of the Lowcountry, Beaufort Campus auditorium.

  • Nov. 14, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Suite 304A, 430 William Hilton Parkway.
