Ridgeland-Hardeeville stumbles, but still in good shape for playoff spot

Garrett Academy Tech 38, Ridgeland-Hardeeville 16

After Friday's 38-16 loss to Garrett Academy Tech, Ridgeland-Hardeeville (4-5) is still likely to reach the Class 2-A playoffs out of Region 6.

Only now, if they make it, the Jaguars are likely to hit the road.

"We were possibly looking at a home game," Jaguars coach Blake Raley said. "That's out of the question now. We could even be traveling back to Garrett or Battery Creek or even Edisto."

Garrett toasted the Ridgeland-Hardeeville pass defense, hitting them with a bomb for a score on the second play from scrimmage and later connecting on three more long plays.

"That was it," Raley said. "We were just getting drives going and our pass defense got toasted for three more bombs."
