Hilton Head Prep 35, St. Andrew's 14

Teron Daley rushed for a pair of first-half touchdowns, Noah Sulek caught a blocked punt in the air and took it 30 yards for a score and the Hilton Head Prep defense kept St. Andrew's out of the end zone before intermission on the way to a 35-14 win.

"At the beginning of the season, I don't think a lot of people thought we'd be where we are right now at 5-4," Dolphins coach Kevin Wald said. "I'm very proud of our guys."

Wald said Daley had a good night running the ball and praised his offensive line.

"I thought our line did another good job tonight up front," Wald said.

In the second half, St. Andrew's went to a wishbone in an effort to get back in the game.

"They ran it well. They drove the ball and chewed up a lot of clock," Wald said. "We held them to two scores. I thought that was pretty solid."

Prep did have one hiccup, about 30 seconds before the half. The Dolphins had a 21-0 lead and the ball deep in their own territory.

"I thought we were on the 9 or the 10, when in fact, we were on the 1," Wald said.

A bobbled shotgun snap by quarterback Charlie Wilmot resulted in a sack and two points for St. Andrew's. Wald said, had he realized where the Dolphins were, he'd have called for something different.

"I'd have gone under center, called a sneak and gone in to the locker room," he said.

In the end it didn't matter and the Dolphins can turn their attention to 8-1 Hilton Head Christian, which visits Prep at 3:30 p.m. Friday.

"We've certainly got our hands full," Wald said.
