It's that time again.

The 21st annual Hargray Hilton Head Island Bridge Run 10K/5K will hit the pavement at 8 a.m. Sunday.

The event, which raises money for the Special Olympics, starts at Crossing Park and takes runners over the Broad Creek on the Cross Island Parkway.

"It looks pretty good," said race organizer Mark Weisner of Bear Foot Sports. The weather should be nice, and we'll have somewhere between 325 and 350 people. That's good for a Sunday."

The 5K division can be a walk or a run, while the 10K is a run only.

"We have a limited time we're allowed to be on the bridge," Weisner said.

There are 14 age divisions for males and females, and awards will be given to the top three in each division.

Runners can still register from 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Breakthrough Fitness at 130 Arrow Road on Hilton Head Island or between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday at Crossings Park. The cost is $50 and includes a T-shirt and a post-race party at Crossings Park featuring live music, refreshments and door prizes.

Weisner said you determine how successful a race is by the people who run it.

"We want everyone to have a good time," Weisner said. "It's important to have nice weather, volunteers to come out and a nice T-shirt -- all of the things that are important to people. You just have to make sure it's enjoyable for the people."
