Bluffton hotel robbed at gunpoint

Two armed men wearing ski masks robbed the Holiday Inn Express on Bluffton Road on Monday, stealing hundreds of dollars, according to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

The men entered the lobby at 7:45 p.m. One jumped over the counter and demanded money, while the other held two employees at gunpoint.

They took the contents of the cash registers and fled, leaving the two employees unharmed, a news release said.
