The new St. Helena Branch Library will be open to the public for the first time Wednesday.

"It's been so many years since this idea of a new St. Helena library was first mentioned, and now to see all the hard work by so many pay off is just amazing," county administrator Gary Kubic said in a news release.

The library will be open 1 to 8 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays, 1 to 5 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. It will be closed on Sundays.
