Seventh-graders at Bluffton Middle School have participated all week in the Kids in Kayaks Program at Bluffton Oyster Factory Park. The students will evaluate the May River ecosystem, conduct water quality testing and learn about the local salt water marsh from their kayaks. The students take a two-hour tour of the river -- not entirely in kayaks -- and learn about a variety of environmental concepts.
