Hilton Head Island Fire & Rescue Division firefighter/paramedic Michael Essary changes the battery in the smoke detector in the home of Jay Stantley on Thursday. The fire department is teaming up with Domino's Pizza this week to deliver pizzas -- and fire safety -- as part of Fire Prevention Week. Homes with working smoke alarms will receive their pizza free of charge. If the alarms aren't working or absent, the fire department will change the batteries or install the devices. The fire department will again travel with Domino's delivery drivers today from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
