Two men and a woman from Ridgeland were arrested Tuesday by Beaufort County Sheriff's Office deputies and accused of burglarizing a home on Heartstone Circle in Bluffton.

The burglary victim came home just before 2 p.m. to find a stranger parked in her driveway. As she walked to the house, she noticed the front door broken open and two people were inside. When the burglars saw the homeowner, they ran to the waiting car and sped away. A Beaufort County Sheriff's Office deputy on the way to the scene attempted to make a traffic stop. All three suspects -- Michael Virgil Patterson, 21, Jamie Simmons, 36, and Sharkeya Monique Darien, 30 -- got out and ran. Deputies found them later in the day at the home of an acquaintance on Ball Field Road in Bluffton. Stolen electronics worth $500 were recovered, according to Sheriff's Office reports.

All three were charged with second-degree burglary and are being held on $15,000 bond in the Beaufort County Detention Center as of Wednesday evening.
