Even with an influx of new players in the starting lineup, one thing has not changed for the University of South Carolina Beaufort men's golf team -- the Sand Sharks are still regarded as a national power in the NAIA ranks.

Coming off a victory at the Thomas University Invitational last week at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga., USCB is ranked seventh in the latest Golf World/Nike Golf NAIA College Coaches Poll.

The Sand Sharks have finished in the top 10 in the NAIA National Championships in each of the past four years.

The Sun Conference is well represented in the latest rankings, as USCB is one of four conference teams in the top 16. The Sand Sharks are joined in the top 10 by No. 6 Johnson & Wales. Webber International (No. 13) and Northwood (No. 16) also made the top 25. St. Thomas (27th), Southeastern (37th) and Embry-Riddle (39th) also received votes.

The Sand Sharks finish their fall season Monday and Tuesday at the SeeMore NAIA Intercollegiate at The Club at Savannah Harbor.
