The Foundation for Educational Excellence seeks volunteers to raise money for teacher grants.

Volunteers are needed for a variety of projects, including grant writing, researching and reading, and helping with the organization's annual fundraiser in March.

The foundation will hold a "friends for the foundation" gathering with more information from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at Frankie Bones restaurant, 1301 Main St. on Hilton Head Island.
