Thank you to all who donated diapers

info@islandpacket.comOctober 7, 2012

This September, our generous community came together in an astonishing way to help care for its youngest members by participating in the third annual Diaper Drive.

On behalf of Bluffton Self Help, The Deep Well Project of Hilton Head Island and all the organizers of the event, thank you for your gracious support.

Due to the overwhelming response, we were able to collect or purchase more than 17,000 diapers and diapering supplies. These items will have an immediate impact on low-income families in Bluffton and on Hilton Head Island.

Special thanks go to Chick-fil-A in Bluffton, The Corner Perk Cafe, Piggly Wiggly in Bluffton and Coligny and all the churches, organizations, neighborhoods and individuals who rallied around this cause to collect donations. We are so grateful to the community members who made this event such as success. It is because of your generosity that babies in our area will be cleaner, dryer and healthier.

Please remember that these organizations always welcome diaper donations throughout the year.
