Whale Branch 53, Bethune-Bowman 6

Dee Delaney had two touchdown receptions and returned a fumble for a touchdown to lead the Warriors (4-2, 2-1 Region 5-A) to a 53-6 rout of Bethune-Bowman in Rowesville.

Running backs Mark Rivers, a senior, and Stephon Eugene, a freshman, had two rushing touchdowns apiece, while sophomore Braxton Bowers added another.

Assistant coach and athletic directors Carlos Cave said Tyrick Spicer led the defensive attack with at least four sacks and three tackles for loss.

"Our kids just got after it on defense. They were dialed in," Cave said. "We got the run established early and once we did, it opened everything up."
