HHCA 4, Bluffton 3: The Eagles downed the Bobcats for the second time this season, getting three singles wins and splitting the doubles contests.

Hilton Head Christian next hosts Porter-Gaud on Thursday.

Singles

No. 1 -- Madison Dillon (HHCA) def. J Wilson 6-2, 6-2; No. 2 -- Monica Bundy (HHCA) def. Taylor Soop 6-0, 6-4; No. 3 -- Cooper Baxter (B) def. Catherine Campbell 6-4, 4-6, 14-12; No. 4 -- Angie Castrillon (B) def. Maddy Bauer 6-1, 5-7, 10-8; No. 5 -- Meriedith Ingli (HHCA) def. Lauren Biershank 6-7, 6-2, 10-7

Doubles

No. 1 -- Baxter/Wilson (B) def. Campbell/Dillon 3-2, ret. injury; No. 2 -- Rathke/James (HHCA) def. Lucci/Eddy 6-4, 7-6.

VOLLEYBALL

Ashley Hall 3, Hilton Head Prep 0: The xx knocked off Hilton Head Prep in three games, winning 25-18, 25-15, 25-12.

For the Dolphins, Brooke Churchich registered 20 assists, Halie Parker had 11 kills and Jill Brunori chipped in seven kills and two blocks.

Now 6-6, Hilton Head Prep returns to action today against visiting rival Hilton Head Christian.

Thomas Heyward Academy 3, Patrick Henry 0: Chandler Cook rang up 18 kills and four aces to spark Thomas Heyward in a 25-18, 25-14, 25-9 sweep.

Haley Malphrus had 12 assists and three aces for the rebels, and Victoria Quick contributed five kills and four aces.

The Rebels (14-5) host Charleston Collegiate today.
