Beaufort, Bluffton, Hilton Head Island tee off today in WSCGA event

Bluffton hosting County Invitational volleyball tournament today

Girls golf teams from Beaufort High, Bluffton and Hilton Head Island High will tee it off at 11:40 this morning in the WSCGA Junior Golf Foundation High School Invitational at Oldfield Golf Club in Okatie.

Also in the field for the two-day event are teams from Airport, Brookland-Cayce, Chapin, Ft. Dorchester, Lexington, South Aiken, South Pointe, Wade Hampton and Wando.

Individuals from Hilton Head Christian, Spring Valley, Irmo and Rock Hill will also take part.


Bluffton hosts the Beaufort County Invitational Tournament today.

The event, which starts at 8:30 a.m., will feature the Bobcats, Beaufort Academy, Beaufort High, Charleston Math & Science, Hilton Head Island High, Hilton Head Prep, Holly Hill Academy, Sumter and Whale Branch

Teams will be separated into two groups for pool play. The top teams from each pool will play for the gold title, and the No. 2 teams will play for the silver championship.


Hilton Head Christian Academy is hosting the HHCA Invitational at 10 a.m. at the Island Rec Center. Among the teams taking part are Beaufort Academy and some swimmers from Hilton Head Island High.
