Traffic problems at Beaufort Elementary School trigger safety discussion

Residents around Beaufort Elementary School are complaining about traffic problems during pick up and drop off times that make the area almost impossible to travel through and dangerous for them and the children. The issue came up when the city of Beaufort contacted them about a school district proposal to add on-street parking on Pilot Street, if the city would take ownership of the road. Police say they've been monitoring the situation and agree it is dangerous.
