I read The Island Packet and The New York Times daily.
I read about the overwhelming financial crisis coming even closer, and the crimes by thugs, officials, big business and government.
I read about the increasing violence from bullying on school buses and riots around the world.
Then I read David Lauderdale's column and I am brought back to sanity, to remembering why we are living in the Lowcountry, and I have a smile on my face and the hope of a better day before me.
To all the angry letter writers: It's not just "Sea Foam."
