Composite, surveillance photo released of Beaufort restaurant robber

Beaufort police released a still photo and composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of Emily's restaurant on Port Republic Street on Saturday.

The suspect, described as a tall, thickly built man with long, dirty blond hair, came through an unlocked door while employees were preparing to open. He showed a pistol and demanded money and also took a cellphone and a bottle of vodka.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Those with information can contact Beaufort police Investigator George Erdel at 843-322-7958 or the 24-hour dispatch office at 843-524-2777.
