Davis went too far in criticism of Bernanke

Published: September 16, 2012

I was appalled at the recent inflammatory remarks made by state Sen. Tom Davis.

His loose tongue might be his undoing. To label the Federal Reserve chairman a traitor and his department corrupt is contemptible. As an average citizen, I'm not skilled enough in the area of finance and can't offer an opinion on whether Ben Bernanke is leading the Federal Reserve Board correctly. However, I do know he is no traitor and that his doings are not corrupt.

Furthermore, Davis wants U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham defeated. Graham is a man of action and works for the betterment of Americans. His support of our military is a great example. It is too bad independent voters don't rise up to place candidates on our ballots so our local politicians don't run unopposed. Remember, Davis is a protègè of former Gov. Mark Sanford. Enough said.
