Lewis, Julian help Hilton Head High football team win third straight

Khalil Lewis ran for 201 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Michael Julian passed for three scores and ran for another as the Hilton Head Island High School football team won its third straight game, defeating Wade Hampton 49-28 on Friday night in Varnville.

Lewis averaged 10 yards a carry and had no fumbles on the night. Julian was 18 for 30 passing with 251 yards and no interceptions, doing most of his damage in the first half. He had a 31-yard touchdown run.

Adam Orischak had a pair of touchdown catches and James Sanders had the other.

Wade Hampton (0-4) led the game 2-0 on an early safety, but that was its last lead of the night. The Seahawks (3-1) were up 35-14 at halftime. Both teams scored 14 points in the third quarter, and both teams went scoreless in the fourth.

Robbie Iulo had an interception for the Hilton Head High defense, which held Wade Hampton to 11 first downs.

The Seahawks travel to rival Bluffton High School on Friday.
