Thomas Heyward football team stays unbeaten with 55-0 win

The Rebels (5-0) rolled up 438 yards rushing on just 27 carries to stay perfect and rout the Cavaliers on the road.

Quarterback JD Tuten led the way again, amassing 148 yards and three touchdowns, including a 72-yarder, on just six carries. He also completed four of his seven passes for 47 yards.

Ryan Day had 134 yards and two scores on five carries, while Hayden Daley added 51 yards and a score on two carries.

Zach Newton and Jared Roundtree each had rushing scores, as well.

"It gave us the opportunity to rest a lot of our starters and give the younger guys some game experience," Thomas Heyward coach Nic Shuford said.

Justin McKenzie led the defense with eight tackles, while Nick Kiefer added six.
