I can't imagine an opposition candidate doing more harm to Cynthia Bensch's County Council campaign than she's already done to herself ("GOP right to stand up for founding ideals," Sept. 7).

Her letter is divisive, ill informed and full of thinly veiled contempt for anyone who doesn't share her views.

Our Founding Fathers envisioned a country welcoming to all people, regardless of religious belief or political affiliation. They must be turning over in their graves.
