A 28-year-old Bluffton woman is being held for prosecution after allegedly spitting on a Beaufort County sheriff's deputy during an arrest Saturday.
The woman, charged with disorderly conduct in Sun City Hilton Head around 9 p.m., appeared to be "grossly intoxicated" and spit on the officer's arm after she was handcuffed, according to a Sheriff's Office report.
Tootsie Dare Johnson's bond was set at $5,000 for "assaulting an officer with bodily fluids," with an additional bond of $262 for public disorderly conduct.
Assaulting an officer with bodily fluids is a felony, according to state law.
