A new sculpture made from old, local driftwood has been unveiled in Palmetto Bluff.
Hilton Head Island artist Wayne Edwards used hundreds of washed-up, sun-bleached pieces of cedar collected on site to create the sculpture that pays homage to Lowcountry birds.
The public can see the sculpture while visiting the Style Home, which features the latest in coastal-inspired interiors and outdoor living spaces, according to a news release.
Public tours of the home are available through Nov. 4. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $10 and proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton and Bluffton Self Help.
